“Boomeritis” is a part of Greek photographer Pygmalion Karatzas’s another project which was taken during a 5-month journey in United States. Choosing landmark locations unapologetic of their strong presence and more intimate spots of our urban life in which our daily memories are formed, is intended to share photographer’s enthusiasm for design and aesthetics, to contemplate on people’s symbiotic with material and ultimately to trigger a more inspirational and uplifting sense of the built environment. On the other side, this photo series is a reference to the pathology of the Baby Boomer generation characterised by pluralism infected with narcissism. These iconographic renderings of buildings and structures are set out as portraits, standing alone, dominating the scene, seducing with their forms.
